2025, costume design for the physical theatre piece by Elisa Bruder with Sophie Oetinger and Berta Asensio Casasús

For the physical theatre and dance piece at Accademia Teatro Dimitri Elisa Bruder took the figure ‘Venus von Muri’ that she performed for Pearlie Frisch’s video ‘Ankunft’ (2024) and live performance ‘Venus im Licht’ (2024) and embedded her in an ‘Après Ski Bar’. Pearlie Frisch created the costumes for the 50-minutes long stage performance. In the making process she was reflecting on contemporary constructed gender norms, drawing on Ancient Greek figures from The Metamorphoses and the landscape of the Spanish Montserrat valley, where their research residency took place.
